Australia's leading vegetation management company, Active Tree Services, proudly services the City of Sydney to help deliver their urban forest strategy through a dedicated operations team of skilled and motivated arborists. We are seeking an Operations Manager with Cert V arboriculture qualifications to lead our team and our relationship with the City of Sydney.

The Role

Reporting to the NSW State Manager, this role leads the day-to-day operations of our City of Sydney team and our relationship with the City of Sydney’s renowned urban forest management team. You will be responsible for overseeing all contract components and ensuring operational budgets, targets and related obligations are met while managing and mentoring a dedicated team.

This is a role for a seasoned urban forester and operational leader who is committed to safety, team performance, client relationship management and arboricultural excellence; focused and motivated to achieve results.

We are looking for a client- and team-committed leaders with:    

• Minimum AQF V arboriculture qualification and 5 years’ experience
• Proven operations team leadership and client management skills
• Commitment to maintaining and improving a safe work culture
• An exceptional eye for detail whilst also being able to see the bigger picture
• Able to increase your knowledge and skills and take control of your own professional development
• Demonstrated leadership and people management capability
• Experience working within a large third-party contract management organisation.
• Business development, financial and relationship management experience
• Understanding of WHS legislation and Quality Assurance
• Highly effective communicator
• Ability to delegate and lead.
