Commercial Analyst – Bayswater, Melbourne

The Role:

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will:

• Take charge of key decision support activities, focusing on budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
• Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly P&L reporting for Victoria.
• Provide insights that will guide high-quality management reporting and help our team navigate the complexities of contracts.
• Be responsible for conducting detailed financial performance analysis and enhancing the commercial focus within our organization.
• Assist the Commercial Manager in the Company’s annual process of formulating the Company’s Annual Budget, including developing the Budget Pack.

The role has an emphasis on ensuring the business finance model is maintained whilst forecasting the business unit profit and loss. You will identify areas of improvement with a focus on streamlining existing functionality to support operations. You will be an analytical driven individual and are able to conduct complex information reporting on a regular basis.

To be successful you will need:

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerBi).
• Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central ERP system would be viewed favorably.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail with outstanding analytical skills.
• The ability to work under pressure, whilst providing calm and well-thought out solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential, as you will build relationships with key stakeholders and contribute to effective financial management outcomes.
• Finance and/or Business Management/Administration tertiary qualifications are required.
