A traineeship is a great way to kickstart your career, combining formal learning with on-the-job training. We are looking to support the next generation of climbers here in SA.  Induction and training will be provided.

This is an opportunity to work outdoors in a small team with good work ethic, using well-maintained equipment and state of the art technology.

What is the role?

The key reasonability of this role is to ensure the efficient and effective safe trimming or dismantling of trees through safe climbing techniques and safe work practices. You will rotate throughout the day between duties such as:

• Performing safe and competent climbing techniques
• Clearing vegetation around/near powerlines
• Conducting risk assessments
• Establishing and implementing vegetation drop zones
• Operating an Elevated Work Platform
• Safely operating plant and chainsaw equipment
• Clearing vegetation debris from worksites

Do you have?

• A current drivers’ licence
• The ability to work safely
• The flexibility to Live Away from Home for up to 2 weeks at a time

Great, but not essential:

• Climbing or general Tree Work experience
• Elevated Work Platform License
• Chainsaw Operators Certificates Level 1 & 2
• Cert III in Arboriculture
• White card
• First aid/CPR
• MR/HR Truck Licence
