What is the role?

The key reasonability of this role is to ensure the efficient and effective safe trimming or dismantling of trees through safe climbing techniques and safe work practices. You will rotate throughout the day between duties such as:

• Safely climb, trim, and dismantle trees using approved climbing techniques, rope harness systems, and safe work practices.
• Maintain safe working distances from powerlines and conductors, establish agreed vegetation drop zones, and conduct on-site risk assessments.
• Inspect, maintain, and correctly use all climbing, plant, and chainsaw equipment, ensuring clear communication with observers and ground crew at all times.
• Carry out vegetation trimming and removal in line with relevant standards, work instructions, and contract quality plans, achieving required profiles and clearances.
• Adhere to WHS policies and procedures, represent the company professionally, and assist with site clean-up and debris removal at the end of each shift

Do you have?

• A current drivers’ licence (essential)
• Elevated Work Platform License
• Chainsaw Operators Certificates Level 1 & 2
• Cert III in Arboriculture
• The ability to work safely
• The flexibility to Live Away from Home

Great, but not essential:

• White card
• First aid/CPR
• MR/HR Truck Licence
