Active Tree Services is seeking Three Supervisors to support the multiple teams & resources working in varied environments whilst performing vegetation management on distribution & transmission lines for the energy providers in Western Victoria. The geographical areas span from Camperdown to the S.A border, working major Hwy’s to private farmland.

This is a hands-on leadership role designed for a driven leader with strong field experience and the clear intent to lead, develop, and elevate team performance. The purpose of the role is to provide visible, accountable leadership through effective coaching and mentoring, while setting high standards for safety, compliance, and operational excellence. Experience with energy provider GIS platforms or similar systems is a strong advantage. A core focus will be proactive safety and compliance auditing, alongside reducing waste and lifting crew performance through strong morale, engagement, and continuous improvement.

The role:

You’ll support the Operations Manager while taking ownership of day-to-day crew leadership, safety and job delivery across multiple sites.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Leading and supervising multiple crews across regional job sites
• Conducting hazard assessments and ensuring safety compliance
• Coordinating daily schedules, crew allocation and job planning
• Running toolbox talks and promoting a strong safety culture
• Carrying out vehicle, plant and equipment inspections
• Monitoring and reporting on job progress, performance and outputs
• Supporting compliance, reporting and client requirements
• Working across regional sites, with travel required (LAHA & allowances provided)
• Making on-the-ground decisions to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently

What you’ll need:

• Proven experience in vegetation management – Powerlines
• Experience supervising or leading crews (formal or informal leadership)
• Strong understanding of safety, compliance and site operations
• Current driver’s licence. (MR preferred).
• Ability to travel and work across regional locations state wide.
• A proactive, reliable and team-focused attitude.

Desirable (but not essential):

• Cert III in Arboriculture, Horticulture or similar
• Familiar with GIS mapping based platforms
• White Card
• First Aid / CPR
• Powerline Vegetation Experience
