The role:

A traineeship is a great way to kickstart your career, combining formal learning with on-the-job training. We are looking to support the next generation of Arborists here in SA.  *Induction and training will be provided.

0-3 months

• Learn how to operate and maintain a chainsaw
• Learn arboriculture standards
• Learn how to safely operate and feed tree debris into a chipper machine
• Learn how to safely set up a work site, including minor traffic control
• Much, much more!

3– 6 months

• Use a chainsaw to perform basic felling under supervision
• Learn how to safely operate an Elevated Work Platform and perform at heights tree trimming
• Ground based rigging
• Truck driving
• Learn basic arboriculture knots and applications

6-12 months

• Learn how to operate specialised equipment such as Excavators, Loaders, Tractors etc
• Learn advanced cutting techniques
• Learn basic Arborists techniques including knots and rigging equipment setups
• Tree identification

12-24 months

• Confidently operate specialised plant equipment
• Learn intermediate Arborists skills
• Learn intermediate rigging techniques both aerial and ground based
• Be able to identify local tree species

Do you have?

• Truck licence with minimum 3 months experience driving, HR preferred
• Access to own vehicle and ability to travel across Adelaide
• Enthusiasm, motivation, and the willingness to continually develop and grow
